What MarketHQ does

MarketHQ is developer market intelligence for developer-tool companies. It monitors public developer-community and web mentions — places like Hacker News, GitHub, Reddit, Stack Overflow, and similar public sources — for the brand, competitor, and keyword terms you choose to track. From those mentions it surfaces evidence-backed answers, gap analysis, and action plans through a chat interface, and makes the same intelligence available through an API and MCP server for your own tools and agents. We only monitor content that is publicly visible on the source — we don't access private messages, private repos, or anything behind a login that isn't yours.

Accounts

You need an account to use the product beyond the public site and waitlist. You're responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in access secure. Tell us at manoj@markethq.ai if you think your account has been compromised.

Free tools and the waitlist

Some parts of MarketHQ — including the public waitlist and free tools on this site — don't require payment. We may change, limit, or discontinue any free tool at any time. The waitlist is an application for early access, not a purchase, and joining it doesn't guarantee access to the paid product.

Paid plans, billing, and trials

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payments processor. Where we offer a free trial, you won't be charged until the trial ends, and we'll tell you the charge date and amount before it happens. Once a trial ends or you subscribe directly, your card is charged automatically each billing period until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime from your account's billing settings. Cancelling stops future charges; it doesn't refund the current billing period. Charges are otherwise non-refundable except where required by law. Plans differ only in how much you can track (competitors, keywords, and questions) — every plan gets the same product.

We may change our prices going forward. If we do, we'll give existing subscribers reasonable notice before a price change applies to their next billing period.

Acceptable use

Use MarketHQ lawfully and don't try to break it: no reverse-engineering the service, no reselling or white-labeling access without our written agreement, no attempting to bypass rate limits or account caps, and no using the product or API/MCP access to build a directly competing product. Don't submit tracked terms, content, or API requests intended to harass, defraud, or collect data on private individuals.

Your content and data

You own the tracked terms, questions, and other inputs you give MarketHQ, and the evidence and analysis we generate for your account. You grant us the rights needed to process that data in order to run the product — for example, to fetch public mentions, generate analysis, and display results back to you. Intellectual property

MarketHQ, its branding, and the underlying product are our property. These terms don't transfer any ownership in the product to you — only the right to use it under this agreement.

Disclaimers

MarketHQ pulls from public, third-party sources and uses automated analysis to summarize them. We work to make that analysis accurate and evidence-backed, but we don't guarantee it's complete, error-free, or a substitute for your own judgment — especially for decisions with legal, financial, or reputational consequences. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Manoj Surya, operating as MarketHQ won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of MarketHQ, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can stop using MarketHQ and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, or that we reasonably believe pose a security or legal risk to the service or other users, with notice where practical.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll post the revised version here with a new effective date, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active subscribers by email before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
